Description

In the new system, a net-line FW-50 acts as the master station and 5 other net-line FW-50 units act as substations, which communicate with each other by means of RS-485 interfaces and protocol IEC 60870-5-101.
The substations undertake the tasks of measured value processing and therefore pump control. The master station communicates the data (circuit breaker trip indications and measured values) to the higher-level ABB MAS4 control system by Ethernet interface and transmission protocol IEC 60870-5-104.

In addition to the wells, there are exposed level measurement points without a power supply for long-term recording of water levels and temperatures. To do this, 6 auco-log GSM-14 systems are used, which serve to record and transmit the water level and temperature. The data are transmitted to the master station by a GSM link (protocol IEC 60870-5-101).

A touch panel is used to display the individual levels and the required quantity of water. Moreover, each individual well can be controlled manually for maintenance purposes; the information produced is shown in an information protocol.

All the configuration, PLC application programming, installation and commissioning work was carried out independently by Salzburg AG employees.
